The Original CPR Band

The CPR Band History

The CPR Band began in 1984 with a phone call from the then owner of the Miss Buffalo River Cruise Boat. They needed a Classic Rock Band for a cruise with the cast and crew from the movie The Natural when the filming concluded in Buffalo. A couple of phone calls later The CPR Band was in business. Chris Preston, Paul Preston Jr. and Rick McEvoy had worked in previous bands together and when paired down to the trio the combo was energetic and highly entertaining. For over two decades The CPR Band played countless gigs ranging from small bars to huge outdoor stages from New York to The Sunset Strip in LA. The CPR Band was the Official Tailgate Party Band for the Buffalo Bills and 97 Rock during the entire Bill's glory era. For several years running they were the house band for Darien Lake Theme Park were they opened for many national acts and played regularly in the Pub. From their earliest years the band has made a reputation of delivering high energy and entertainment. Through the years The CPR Band has received a pile of local music awards for Best Classic Rock Band and other honors. The band prides itself on being very entertaining while keeping an eye on the employer's bottom line. A great combination of playing ability, theatrics, and humor makes Back and rockin' The CPR Band the perfect choice for your club or event
